Taking It Deeper

One of these days we all will stand in judgment for
Every single word that we have spoken
One of these days we all will stand before the Lord
Give a reason for everything we’ve done
And what I’ve done is

Trust in Jesus
My great Deliverer
My strong Defender
The Son of God
I trust in Jesus
Blessed Redeemer
My Lord forever
The Holy One, the Holy One

What are you going to do when your time has come
And your life is done and there’s nothing you can stand on
What will you have to say at the judgment throne
I already know the only thing that I can say is I

There’s nothing I can do on my own to find forgiveness
It’s by His grace alone I trust in Jesus
Trust in Jesus

  • If you were to stand before God today, and He were to ask you “Why should I let you into Heaven?”   What would you say?
  • If you don’t know, you better memorize this song.
  • And more than that, you need to live the words of this song.

  • Over the years I’ve learned to be a little more quiet.
  • Partly because of the first line of this (that) song...
  • It says “one of these days we all will stand in judgement for every single word that we have spoken.”
  • And frankly, I want to get into heaven quicker.

  • Recently a friend was telling me about being at a conference.
  • And next door to his conference was this big wealth building seminar.
  • There was a huge sign outside the seminar that implied that the most important thing in life was getting rich.
  • And my friend said that it kind of offended him.
  • Not that there’s anything wrong with making money, because money is a tool to do great things.
  • ...But it’s not the most important thing.
  • Look at it this way:   There will come a day when God asks you what you did with your life.   Are you going to say “I got rich and powerful and influential, and I made a difference in the world”
  • Or are you going to say:   “Mine was a life with a complete hope and trust in Jesus as my Lord and Savior, and I hope that He made a difference in the world through me.”

  • Most of us have no problem trusting in Jesus to get us into heaven.
  • We just tend to forget to trust Him to get us through daily life.

    Your Own Experiences

Talk about when you gave your heart to Jesus and trusted Him for eternal life.

Talk about a current issue in your life that you are trusting Jesus for the outcome.   Talk about how you can not only trust Him with your eternal life, but also with your daily life.

Use this song coming out of a prayer request that’s come into the station.   A prayer request where someone is asking for a friend or family member to accept Jesus.
