  • It’s crazy how your vision starts to trick you when you get older.
  • For instance, you look at your daughter and all you see is that little baby you brought home from the hospital, or that little girl with the cute white Easter hat.
  • If you asked the Doctor, he’d say there are no glasses that can cure that.  You better just get used to it.

  • Have you forgotten “the dance?”
  • That carefree time as a child where you weren’t afraid to sway and twirl?
  • Maybe that’s the gift that God can give you today - a momentary relief from the stress.
  • Put your arms around you and pray that he’ll hold you as a loving Father would.
  • Then sway as you feel His love.

    Your Own Experiences

    Talk about one of your favorite memories with your daughter, or if you’re a daughter, with your dad.


    Talk about one of the instances that this song talks about:  Working from home.  Meeting a boyfriend.  Planning a wedding.  Even if you don’t have those experiences with a daughter, you probably have some story that you can recall about those situations.


    Talk about a time when a little girl put her feet on the top of your shoes, and you danced.  Mention the giggles.
