Taking It Deeper

Lord I want everything

Everything You've got for me

I won't be satisfied until I find the center of Your heart

Lord You know You've opened my eyes

Shown me things that I can't see on my own

You call me justified

Free to find everything you are

And You

Changed me from what I used to be

Opened my eyes

Now I can see

You're making this life so beautiful

So beautiful

Lord I give You everything

Anything You want from me

Take my past and my future

I lay it at Your feet

I'm after Your heart

You've stolen mine

I give You my all ‘cause You gave up Your life

I'm not who I was

Simply because

Oh, You set me free

Every day I rise

I wake up to find

You're surrounding me with endless mercy

You renew my mind

You're bringing me to life

Oh God

And You

Changed me from what I used to be

Opened my eyes

Now I can see

You're making this life so beautiful

And You

Making me who I'm called to be

Rescued my heart

Now I am free

You're making this life so beautiful

So beautiful

It's only You

That can make this life so beautiful

Oh, so beautiful

  • You drive down the road and you notice that a business has changed their sign.  Or maybe it’s September and that home improvement store now has Christmas trees in their window.
  • Whatever it is, it’s something different, and you notice it.
  • Your eyes naturally move toward things that have been changed.  Your mind notices these things.
  • Yet we often don’t realize the changes that God makes in our own lives.  We’re often blind to them.
  • Open your eyes to the beauty that He makes via the changes in your heart.  Maybe it’s time to start writing them down and keeping track.  You’ll be amazed at the beautiful changes in attitudes He builds in you over time.

Ephesians 1:18-19

I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.

Ecclesiastes 3:11

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.

Luke 4:16-21

He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. He stood up to read, and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written:

“The Spirit of the Lord is on me,

because he has anointed me

to proclaim good news to the poor.

He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners

and recovery of sight for the blind,

to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him.  He began by saying to them, “Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”
